It’s been a pretty warm November. I love it of course. Winnie was happy to just not wear a shirt, but Chuck has been too excited to wear all things Christmas and warm ever since we switched out their spring/summer clothes for fall/winter clothes. They were supposed to be cleaning up, but then I caught them jumping on the bed instead. When they were kicked off the bed, they decided to first put everything in a big pile before putting it away…which of course made them want to jump off the bed into it. I stopped Winnie just as she was about to jump and showed her how she was going to jump right into the bookshelf. Chuck threw a pillow in front of the bookshelf, but then instead of the pile becoming a safe landing spot, the pillows made it a comfy hang out. Somehow the fan came down to join them there and then the rest followed. By that time, they were having too much fun with the scarf and the fan, I couldn’t possibly stop them and make them clean up (this is why our house is always a mess).
Later on, Roland woke up. The girls get sooooo excited when he wakes up from a nap. Winnie starts screaming, “Roland’s awake? Roland’s awake? Roland’s awake! Roland’s awake!” They race upstairs, and he is so excited to see them. Chuck was outside working on the yard with James, but she’s normally up there too, passing him toys through the crib and keeping him fully entertained until I come to get him out.
