It was dress up day at the pumpkin patch, and the temperature probably rounded up to 90 degrees. This has been my kind of fall. I’m pretty sure that this is going to be a new tradition for us because the kids could have stayed in the Fun Zone all night. Chuck tried to, and ended up being carried to the van without her shoes on as she was throwing a fit. Grumpy Bear for real. Thank goodness for G and Papu’s company and help…especially since I forgot my wallet. It’s been a busy month; I’m tired and short on patience and sense.
We started and ended at the Fun Zone, which was an area with a bunch of inflatable jumpy things. Winnie enjoyed going down the slides and jumping and being bounced around. We went on a hayride and toured a petting zoo. We stopped to play in the dirt before heading to see a puppet show and explore the discovery center. There was a sunflower field with mostly dead sunflowers that we walked in to see if we could score any sunflower seeds. After getting shot at by the pumpkin launcher and sneaking into the woods where the haunted exhibit was set up, we were asked to not be in that area. Oops. The kids jumped it out again at the Fun Zone, and then we were on our way.
