St. Simons Island, September 2015

StSimonsSept2015-13

It was an unexpected treat to be able to tag along on my in-laws’ family vacation to St. Simons Island, Georgia. When we drove up to the house, we were told we could load all of our stuff into the lift (yeah, the house had an elevator). I can’t think of an easier crew to plan and vacation with than the families we spent this time with. Sharing meals, childcare, drinks, and laughs, we took the “it takes a village” concept on vacation. We crossed the “muddy river” with stocked Yeti coolers and a now bent tent, dodged crabs, rescued fish, flew a kite, and survived high, sandy winds with two infants. Champagne at sunset with this crew on our last night couldn’t have made the trip more memorable. Thanks for having us, guys.
