Chuck got to go bowling for the first time ever recently, and I hope I never forget her squeals of excitement about rolling the ball down the slide and down the lane, watching and hearing the pins fall down, waiting for the ball to magically shoot out of the ball return machine, and of course the neon lights of the arcade. Watching a child experience something new is like getting to go through it for the first time all over again. Slow down. Observe. Be present. Get excited, and squeal with delight. The serious bowlers in the lane next to you will enjoy watching it, and then ask to be moved to a different lane.
